It was not until it was purchased by Sackville West in the 1930s that the gardens became the beautiful place that it is known for today.
The White Cliffs of Dover – One of the most famous natural landmarks in England, this is a beautiful area of the country to walk in. In the autumn and winter, you can really get a sense of the power of the sea below as you walk across the iconic white cliffs.
