Getting your Home Ready for Guests this Festive Season

Christmas is coming, and with manty of us planning visits from family and friends this year, it is time to get the house ready to receive guests! It can seem daunting to give the house a big de-clutter but there are lots of things that you can do to make this job more manageable.

Focus on one Room at a Time – If you think of the whole house, it can be overwhelming, but tackle a certain room at a time and do it to a high standard. For example, you may decide that you really need to prioritise the garage – have a good sort out and then you might want to take more pride in it, give it new doors like these from this garage doors Bristol supplier and put in some storage to stop it from getting too cluttered in the future.

Set Time Aside to do it – Go through your diary and set blocks of time out to do the clearing out. That way you won’t be getting distracted by anything else and you can focus on the task in hand. This is a really good way to prioritise and organise your time, so you can also use it when it comes to other things too.

Decorate – Once you have de-cluttered, cleaned and tidied up, it is a good opportunity to decorate. If you notice that your home could do with a lick of paint, some new curtains or a bold new wallpaper, then now is a great time to do it.
